It Should Be Simple to Reach Humans
Connecting with others should be simple. It’s a fundamental human need, as natural as speaking to a friend or sharing a story in a village square. Humans are built to share ideas, learn from one another, and form communities—it’s what drives understanding and growth. On the internet, where distance no longer separates us, this should be even easier. A blog, for instance, offers a space to write about culture, technology, or global challenges, and those words should easily find readers who care. Search engines should highlight relevant posts, and social media should let links to blogs spread freely, connecting writers and readers without obstacles.
Yet, the internet often makes this harder than it should be. Algorithms bury blog posts unless they’re backed by money, prioritizing profit over people. Platforms favor popular voices, leaving new writers unseen. A post about cultural traditions or global issues might never reach an audience, not because it lacks value, but because the system demands payment for visibility. This isn’t just a technical flaw—it feeds a plastic world where authentic connection is replaced by artificial barriers. It conceals our true selves as a global community, where diverse voices should come together to share and learn, not be silenced by algorithms or paywalls. By stifling these connections, the internet halts human progression, preventing the exchange of ideas that could solve problems, bridge divides, and inspire change.
When reaching humans becomes a struggle, the world loses its humanity. The internet should be a tool to unite us, not a gatekeeper that hides our shared potential. Connection should be simple—it’s the foundation of who we are.
