Key extracts from interview (re. Government Spokesman for the National Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Office of the Prime Minister, David Mencer):
Claims Israel is executing the gold standard when it comes to firing and directing its war.
Asserts His (Israeli) people recognise evil when they see it.
On ICC, EU, media (et al) observations and claims that genocide is being committed by Israel State: Strongly refutes claims - asserts genocide has been committed against Israelis.
On UN's warning military offensive into Rafa will end in a slaughter:Asserts that Israel moves Palestinian civilians out of harms way.
On how it will evacuate 1.4 million people out of Rafa: Asserts that it will do the same as before (re. move people out of harms way) - Denies that it bombs people in self-designated safe areas.
On people with white flags being shot, and those in safe zones and on the run being bombed by IDF forces: Asserts that Israeli forces are the most humane whom ever existed in terms of protecting civilian lives.
On shooting its own hostages: A terrible tragedy.
On UN's legally binding resolution demanding a ceasefire and Israel's continuation of bombing Gaza (clear breach of international law): Claims America's stance - that it is not legally binding: Rejects the notion (backed by documented/written evidence) that more than 34,000 people have been killed in Gaza as flat-out terrorist propaganda. Claims it has killed 13,000 Hamas fighters via appropriate checks and balances, and media scrutiny (underpinned by western values) - despite not producing verifiable evidence to prove such claims.
On UN, World Health Organisation, aid groups (on the ground in Gaza), human Rights groups collective position that more than 34,000 people have been killed in Gaza: Asserts that Israel doesn't believe the majority of UN's output (despite its proud UN membership) and asserts UN exhibits extreme double-standards. Summarising, Israel doesn't take UN's word for it - comparing UN to Hamas (a genocidal terrorist).
On Israel's complete destruction of Gaza's hospitals/health system, observed by UN: Justifies the complete destruction by claiming all hospitals are bases for terrorists.
On a Hamas command and control center re. IDF (allegedly stretching three levels underneath largest medical facility in Gaza: Shifa), used as justification to attack all Gazan hospitals, and the lack of corroborating evidence over the claim: Asserts offense and shock at the line of journalistic questioning - We've shown you tunnels, and have found RPGs in an intensive care unit. We were fired on from a maternity ward - the evidence is clearly there (reiterating the lines of questioning as ridiculous).
On not opening Gaza to the international free press/independent journalists with the ability to verify disputed conflict facts - and only allowing hand-picked journalists by the IDF, wherein IDF decides where the journalists go/what they see/what they film/who they talk to - because State of Israel doesn't want to the world to see the truth: Asserts Israel/Gaza conflict is not a normal war zone (an unprecedented war zone in human history) - it's an active war zone, and that Israel always puts the lives of its armed forces ahead of any journalists, and the news it getting out of Gaza, despite what the international press says.
On more than 100 journalists being killed in the conflict by Israel forces: Justifies the killings, asserts many of these journalists are active Hamas operatives, while claiming that it has provided the proof to the international media, citing the children of the head of al jazeera news as Hamas operatives as an example.
On an independent inquiry concluding not a shred of evidence has been produced showing UNRWA as a Hamas operative/employees took an active part in October 7th attacks, and Israel's failure to provide any evidence to the inquiry/UN: Asserts such conclusions are a slur against his country, it has provided the evidence, and that Israel has fully cooperated wholeheartedly with the investigation. Summerising the investigation as a whitewash.
On the notion that the world is not buying Israel's assertions with regard to UNRWA, demonstrated by the continuation of UNRWA contributions for Gaza from the global community: Asserts Israel is upset this and that Israel has provided multiple evidence of the hand-in-hand UNRWA/Hamas relationship (not a few bad apples, but UNRWA as a whole rotten orchard).
On Israel's unprecedented international trust issues and its many unfounded claims (re. why should the world believe Israel): Asserts that it has produced all the evidence being talked about, but its never enough for the international community - for people who do not wish to see the truth, or believe the truth, because of vested interests, or they believe intrinsically that Israel is guilty.
On Israel's post-war plan for Gaza and the lack of understanding of such: Gaza needs to be rebuilt with a better and more hopeful future. Do the same thing that happened in Germany in 1945 (which was destroyed) - allies must rebuild Gaza. More importantly, de-radicalise Gazans.
On the fundamental question of Israel paying for the reconstruction of Gaza re. its willful complicity in destroying it and unprecedented cost to Gaza re. $18.2 billion (World Bank), and 4 million people who have lost their homes: Asserts that Israel did not want the conflict, nor ask for it, and doesn't have an answer to the question and doesn't know the official answer - but Gaza should be rebuilt.
On the fact that Israel is not committing itself to rebuild Gaza and legitimate international skepticism surrounding its non-committal stance over the issue: Asserts (once again) that he doesn't have an answer to the question and refuses to make a commitment.
On the way forward (re. Israel/Gaza conflict): Within weeks this conflict could be over. Give Israel the tools to finish the job - we're almost there. We will destroy, we will obliterate this organisation (Hamas). We want to get back to peace and coexistence.
