"Police say they have made more than 150 arrests so far at a demonstration in London in support of proscribed group Palestine Action.
Scores of people simultaneously unveiled handwritten signs with the same message "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action" at the protest, organised by Defend Our Juries at Westminster's Parliament Square.
The government proscribed the Palestine Action group in July under the Terrorism Act of 2000, making membership of or support for the group a criminal offence, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.."

BBC (05/02/2025): Labour readmits four MPs suspended for rebelling:
"Four MPs suspended by Labour for voting against the government on the two-child benefit cap have been readmitted into the parliamentary party.
Three others who rebelled in July's vote - former shadow chancellor John McDonnell, Apsana Begum and Zarah Sultana - remain suspended.
All seven MPs are on the left of the party but the three who have not had their suspension lifted have continued to be critical of the government over the past six months.
Writing on X, Sultana said she had only found out the news from a media report.
The MP for Coventry South added: "Turns out speaking up for Palestine is still a punishable offence."..."
"The average age of those arrested was 54, and the most arrests - 147 of them - were of people aged between 60 and 69.

“The decision appears disproportionate and unnecessary. It limits the rights of many people involved with and supportive of Palestine Action who have not themselves engaged in any underlying criminal activity but rather exercised their rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association,” the High Commissioner said. “As such, it appears to constitute an impermissible restriction on those rights that is at odds with the UK’s obligations under international human rights law.
I urge the UK Government to rescind its decision to proscribe Palestine Action and to halt investigations and further proceedings against protesters who have been arrested on the basis of this proscription. I also call on the UK Government to review and revise its counter-terrorism legislation, including its definition of terrorist acts, to bring it fully in line with international human rights norms and standards,” the High Commissioner said.
