Yorkshire Police under investigation by National Crime Agency re. Child sexual abuse (Rotherham)
BBC (08/08/2025): NCA to investigate police officer sex abuse claims:
"The National Crime Agency (NCA) will take over an investigation into allegations that South Yorkshire Police officers sexually abused children in Rotherham...
...five women who were exploited by grooming gangs as children have said they were also abused by police officers in the town in the 1990s to early 2000s.
South Yorkshire Police (SYP) initially said it would look at the claims, but subsequently faced calls to be removed from the investigation in the interests of transparency.
The NCA said it would ensure "victims remain at the heart of this investigation".
Three former police officers have so far been arrested in connection with the allegations..."

Starmer, the target of wild criticism from Musk on his social media platform X, said the debate on the issue had crossed a line with threats against MPs including the safeguarding minister, Jess Phillips, whom Musk called a “rape genocide apologist” and said should be jailed.
Musk has claimed Starmer was “complicit in the rape of Britain”. Responding to the prime minister’s comments on Monday, Musk called him “utterly despicable” and said he was “deeply complicit in the mass rapes in exchange for votes"...
